Community Development
Bridging the last mile in food security.
Fundación del Saber’s Nourishment Initiative is closing the food security gap in the most vulnerable communities—starting with Bolivia, one of the poorest countries in South America. In partnership with trusted local organizations like Cáritas and Banco de Alimentos, we deliver essential food kits and nutritional support to over 16,000 beneficiaries every two months, with a special focus on children, youth, and older adults.
Bolivia’s rural and Indigenous populations face extreme hardship: 75% of households lack regular food access, 27% of children are stunted, and 60% suffer from anemia. With climate vulnerability expected to increase hunger by 22% by 2050, our program is designed to scale—expanding to Brazil and beyond.
To date, we’ve distributed over 2,323 tons of food and 50,000 liters of liquids, reaching homes, orphanages, and assisted living centers. By combining local partnerships with data-driven targeting, we’re building a replicable model for food security and dignity—one that reaches the last mile and lays the foundation for long-term development.
